Origin: Greek. Meaning: healer. Althea is a girl’s name  related to the greek goddess of healing and compassion.

Althea is also related to the word Althaia meaing ‘healing herb’

In a quiet garden, a statue stands tall

Nature’s touch, the healer of all

Moss growing through the cracks, a gentle embrace

Transforming the statue with natures grace.

With each passing day, the greenery grows

Filling the crevices where healing shows

Through the cracks in the stone, life finds it’s way

Vines intertwining, closing up the gates.

The statue, once withered, now finds peace

As moss embraces, its worries release

Where once there was pain, now growth takes hold

Covering up the blue, beauty unfolds.
